ECSA Suisse

The European Communities Studies Association Switzerland (ECSA Suisse) is the premier scholarly and professional association in Switzerland that focuses on the European Union (EU), the ongoing integration process, and relations between Switzerland and the EU.
ECSA Suisse is a member of the multidisciplinary ECSA network that aims at promoting European studies, both in Europe and beyond. This includes the exchange and provision of information in the areas of research and teaching, as well as the creation of forums in which new projects can find their starting point. Although ECSA, founded in 1987, was initially an umbrella organisation for corresponding higher education associations in the EU member states, the circle of members now extends across the whole world as interest in issues of European integration has also increased in these states.
ECSA Suisse has about 200 members, regrouping scholars of political science and law as well as related disciplines with practitioners of public administration and the private sector. We welcome as members all those interested in any aspect of European integration, European Union affairs, and Swiss-European relations. We are an independent, non-profit educational organization. We value diversity and are open to different epistemological and methodological approaches as well as interdisciplinary work. Young researchers are explicitly encouraged to join our sessions at the annual convention.
