With this prize, ECSA Suisse promotes young researchers in Switzerland. The prize is awarded to scholars affiliated to a Swiss University or research institute who published an excellent single-authored research article in an academic journal. The prize amounts to CHF 500. The next prize will be awarded at the annual conference of the association in 2026.

We invite all junior scholars to submit their article provided the following conditions are fulfilled:

1. The article pertains to the EU or European integration broadly defined.
2. The article was published in a scientific peer-reviewed journal the year before the next conference. This means that to be eligible for the prize awarded at the 2026 conference, the article must be published between January 2024 and December 2025.
3. An article is published if it appears in the journal with page numbers.
4. The article is single-authored.
5. The author is a PhD candidate, a post-doctoral researcher, or an assistant professor.
6. At the time of publication, the author studied or worked at a Swiss university, irrespective of his or her nationality.

The deadline for article submission will be communicated in spring of 2026. Submissions shall be motivated by briefly describing the main innovation(s) and contribution(s) of the research presented in the article (max. 300 words). Submissions should be sent as an email-attachment to (tbc).
